Cair Collective

Cair Collective was a thesis project by Claudia Poh (Werable’s founder) and Amy Yu Chen in 2017. Cair Collective provides a tech-assisted dressing experience that goes beyond a single user. The clothing items are designed with built-in inflatable components, allowing them to rise onto the body effortlessly. The pair co-designed with Christina Mallon throughout the entire process, adapting to her needs as she lives independently without the use of her arms.

The project introduced a future-forward system of inflatable pants and included innovative hacks for fitted sweaters, tops, and elastic pants to create a comprehensive dressing system.
